Finding new lesson horses can be challenging. We have another new one we think is going to be great, and he's already pretty good. I prefer geldings for the lesson program, as mares can be more sensitive and can have a harder time adjusting to different riders. Horse shopping is like used car shopping. Unless you know the seller, you have to know what you are looking for, and even then you can get a lemon. So far we don't think Cole is a lemon! He's laid back and smooth gaited.
