2023 Riding Lesson Price List

New Pricing Structure for Greenmarch Farm
  • Effective Aug 1 2022, to align with industry standards, the farm is moving to a monthly tuition lesson program. $180 ($45 per lesson with 4 lessons per month), regardless if a month has four or five weeks.  The fifth lesson every couple of months can be considered a “free” lesson or a make up time. A la carte lessons are $55 per lesson.  Second rider in the family/second lesson of the week is $160/month or $40 /lesson, therefore twice a week lessons are $340 monthly. Monthly payment is due at the first lesson of the month.
  • Lessons are one hour of farm time. Independent students (can get ready altogether without assistance) can have one hour of ride time. Ride times will be time ready in the arena to ride, so students should plan arrival time and time use accordingly.  Students needing assistance to get ready will have  an hour of instruction with a minimum of half an hour of riding time.
  • Missed lessons can be made up in the following 30 days during other regular lesson times or available designated make up slots. No show/no calls before the lesson time are forfeit. A text or email ahead of time is required to make up lessons.
  • With the new climate controlled space, if it is too hot/cold, we will be having horsemanship lessons in the indoor. These lessons will cover ability appropriate riding theory, rider fitness programs, and hands on horse care.
Cash, check, Venmo or PayPal are accepted

In our lessons, you learn to ride the horse in balance at the walk, trot, and canter. We start in the fenced arena, but part of the lessons can take place out on the trails, even at the lead line level.  Learning to jump is an option.

Helmets are provided initially and required for ALL riders. Wear closed-toe shoes (once regular lessons commence a low-heeled smooth soled boot is required, WITHOUT a zipper on the inseam that can scratch the saddle) and long pants (preferably not jeans, as they can damage the saddle). As of September 1, 2017, helmet rental is $1 per lesson.  Bicycle helmets are not appropriate, as they do not meet the same safety testing requirements as equestrian helmets.

Lessons are available to all ages and those who weigh under 200 lbs. for beginners, 225 for experienced riders.
